Bellahouston/Govan Learning Community

Riverside Primary School is part of the Bellahouston/Govan Learning Community.  Our associated secondary school is Govan High School and our P7 pupils participate in a carefully planned primary/secondary transition programme with Govan High School throughout their P7 year.  Our P7 pupils automatically transfer to Govan High School however parents have the right to ask for a placing request to other secondary schools. 

Other Primary schools in our Learning Community include Pirie Park Primary, (the other non-denomination school in Govan), Lorne St Primary, Mosspark Primary, Ibrox Primary, Glendale Primary and Pollokshields Primary Schools.

We work very closely in particular with the staff at Pirie Park Primary sharing in-service opportunities and also regular shared collegiate activities where the staff work together to plan and assess pupil learning activities.
